About RoseKnight

Looking back at history, periods of change are found in every era. All history is connected to the present, and history is being created at this very moment. Each era gives rise to history-making leaders and their own stories. Leaders as strong as knights, and beautiful as roses. RoseKnight is a brand inspired by the events and people from world history, as motifs to wish for world peace and happiness.

The Symbolism of the Rose

Our world is shaped by momentous events throughout history. For example, in the second half of the 17th century, France was an absolute monarchy in which the king held great power. However, the lack of freedom of expression and the widening gap between rich and poor led to dissatisfaction among the people, culminating in the French Revolution in 1789. The monarchy collapsed, and civil society was established. Roses have been loved in France for hundreds of years. When you hear the words French Revolution, you may think of conflict and war, but some people may also think of bright red roses. In fact, there are many roses named after historical figures in France, and there is a famous portrait of Marie Antoinette—who lost her life in the revolution—holding a rose. Even in times of a historically significant event like the French Revolution, the rose is still valued as a symbol of beauty. This is the origin of the beauty that inspires RoseKnight.。

Brave Knights who Make History

At key turning points in history around the world, you will find strong leaders. For example, in Japan, famous warlords shaped the Sengoku period, and many influential people changed the course the end of the Edo period. Oda Nobunaga, a general in the Sengoku period, revolutionized Japan with his innovative ideas. Sakamoto Ryoma, also known for his influence on history at the end of the Edo period, was a visionary with a global perspective who worked towards opening up Japan. The stories of these people, movers of history, have been passed down to future generations as the stories of leaders who created a new era. However, it is not easy to change the world. It is true that throughout human history, conflicts occur as eras change. We at RoseKnight pray for peace. Change is necessary to create a new era, and strong leaders are needed, but we hope that the world will prosper in peace. The knight, a motif of the brand, embodies this feeling.

RoseKnight Collection

Items in a variety of designs are available at RoseKnight. Designs that may seem difficult to realize at first glance such as finely detailed rings, cufflinks, and bracelets—all can be created with the skill of a master craftsman. RoseKnight’s pieces incorporate motifs of historical events and people from around the world, and each one is designed with a story and emotion in mind. Roses and knights, which make up the brand name, are particularly important in the creation of RoseKnight items. Knights represent hopes for leaders who will bring change to the times, and roses represent a desire to change the world into a more peaceful and beautiful place. Based on this main theme, RoseKnight creates original items inspired by various historical events, from gothic rings and bracelets reminiscent of medieval Europe, to designs with an Asian feel.

Production and Craftsmanship

The designs at RoseKnight are extremely complex, and it is very difficult to model such complex designs onto small objects like rings, including motifs like rose and floral patterns, rendered faithfully down to the the tiny details of each petal. At RoseKnight, we were determined to bring into being even highly challenging designs. We faced many obstacles along the way, but thanks to the dedicated skills of Japanese craftsmen using sophisticated new technology, we succeeded in creating pieces true to our design. RoseKnight was born from the spirit of persistence and taking on new challenges in order to make dreams a reality, and from curiosity and openness to pursue new technology.
